Woman Killed, Three Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash Near Route 7

A 22-year-old female passenger was killed after being ejected from an SUV in a head-on crash in Kent, Conn., on Friday evening, state police said.

A GMC Terrain and  Lincoln Navigator collided on Skiff Mountain Road at the crest of a hill around 7 p.m., police said. The incident occurred near the Marvelwood School, just west of Route 7, near the border of Litchfield and Dutchess counties.

The woman, Lakeville resident Deanna Silvernail, a backseat passenger in the GMC Terrain, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police

Shelby Roger, a 25-year-woman from Salisbury and the driver of the GMC, was airlifted by LifeStar helicopter to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.

Another passenger, 21-year-old Angela Brazzale, also of Salisbury, was taken by ambulance to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries.

Kent resident Brian Hastings, the driver of the Lincoln Navigator, was flown by LifeStar helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with serious injuries, police said.
